| "I didn't really say everything I said."
Here's some examples of the crazed stuff that has been documented. I'm sure I'll have missed some ... there is so much material after all ...
She went behind enemy lines to spy on a gay rights rally. She hid herself behind some bushes.
A woman wanting to make a point to Bachmann followed her into a restroom at a park. Bachmann began screaming for help rather than listen to the woman. There were several witnesses who all claimed that Bachmann was never in any danger whatsoever ... unless ... hearing differing viewpoints is dangerous.
Stated that God told her to run for office.
Bachmann wrote a letter/memo in which she claimed that the US Government intends end the free market economy and represenatative government.
Bachmann admits she's kinda dumb, but it just sounds so crazy:
"I look at the Scripture and I read it and I take it for what it is. I give more credence in the Scripture as being kind of a timeless word of God to mankind, and I take it for what it is. And I don't think I give as much credence to my own mind, because I see myself as being very limited and very flawed, and lacking in knowledge, and wisdom and understanding. So, I just take the Bible for what it is, I guess, and recognize that I am not a scientist, not trained to be a scientist. I'm not a deep thinker on all of this. I wish I was. I wish I was more knowledgeable, but I'm not a scientist."
(Michele Bachmann interviewing with Todd Fiel at KKMS as quoted in the Stillwater Gazette, September 29, 2003)
Groped President Bush at her first State of the Union address.
Said she wanted to kiss Bush again when he visited I-35W bridge disaster
Claimed she had secret plan to divide Iraq. And retraction is just as daft.
Claimed that we're running out of rich people.
Claimed on Hardball with Chris Matthews that some in Congress are anti-American.
Crusade to prevent govt from mandating more efficient light bulbs.
I've compiled a large number of anecdotes. I haven't even gotten to the lies and bigotry. |
