Now that DT has been inaugurated, Mike “Stretch” Gelfand is making a pitch on the new edition of Democratic Visions for capsules promising to excite and harden tired, defeated and deflated male aspirants to the presidency through the 2020 election. There’s a herd of them and the new drug should have appeal to Christie, Walker, Jeb and Bernie. Mike’s ad spot is sandwiched between segments conducted by Tim O’Brien with State DFL Chair Ken Martin and recently retired House District 48A law maker Yvonne Selcer (DFL).
The half hour, including Mike’s short spot, is pundit free.
The program premiers on Comcast Channel 15 in Edina, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Hopkins and Richfield on Saturday January 21 at 2 p.m. with repeats Sundays at 9 pm, Mondays at 10 pm and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. The program will begin appearing on Minneapolis, Bloomington and northern suburban cable systems over the next week.
When something is too good to be true, I always question it. So at a time when Ron Paul is gaining traction in the not-Romney Republican vote, one has to wonder at the perfect of convenience of Anonymous finding an email connection between Ron Paul and white supremacist American Third Party (A3P).
In addition to finding the usual racist rants and interactions with other white power groups, we also found a disturbingly high amount of members who are also involved in campaigning for Ron Paul. According to these messages, Ron Paul has regularly met with many A3P members, even engaging in conference calls with their board of directors. Ron Paul’s racist politics and affiliations are already well known, being viciously anti-immigrant, anti-abortion and against gay marriage — not to mention having authored the racist “Ron Paul Papers” and receiving financial support from other white power groups (pictured with Don Black from stormfront.org). Hard to believe Ron Paul draws some support from the left and the occupation movements, especially now that it is confirmed Ron Paul hangs out with straight up racist hate groups.
A long history of compelling evidence should not leave any doubt that Ron Paul is racist. Ron Paul published very racist violent comments in newsletters like “If you have to use a gun on a youth, you should leave the scene immediately, disposing of the wiped off gun as soon as possible.” The Washington Post reports that Ron Paul personally proofed and signed off on final copies, based on interviews with the newsletter staff. Indeed, Crooks and Liars does a good summary of how Ron Paul’s actions and positions prove his racism.
However, this timing is just so convenient, considering that the Republican party signals racism frequently. Mitt Romney’s Mormon Church excluded blacks until 1978. Indeed all Republican candidates are indicating racism.
Gingrich is winking – some call it “dog whistling” – at certain white audiences by intimating that black people are lazy, happy to live off the government and lacking any intellect. (The Hill)
How hard would be to nudge a story and fake an Anonymous find? Is this just Republicans shooting all the saved ammunition of dastardly deeds?
